BASIC OBEDIENCE
Our Basic Obedience on leash program includes commands such as:
This also includes teach your dog to respond to verbal and hand signals, as well as proper leash walking. Training should include teaching your dog good manners, such as not jumping on people & furniture.
Our Advanced Obedience off leash dog training is designed to teach dogs to respond to commands and behaviors even when they are not on a leash. Through consistent and positive reinforcement, your dog can learn to obey commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel even when it is off leash. Advanced Obedience training can be a great way to build your dog’s confidence, stimulate their mind, and help them become a better behaved companion. This type of training is especially useful for owners who take their dogs to the park or on hikes, as it allows them to have more control over their pet in an uncontrolled environment. With patience and the right techniques, your dog can learn to be a more reliable and obedient companion.
Potty training is the process of teaching a dog to eliminate in an appropriate area, such as outside or in a designated potty area. It involves teaching the dog to recognize the signs that they need to go, and then providing them with a designated area to do so. Potty training is important for keeping the home clean and for teaching the dog not to eliminate in the house. Trainers typically use a combination of positive reinforcement and consistent routine to teach dogs to be potty trained. The process usually starts with crate training.
It is important to provide puppies with positive reinforcement and patience during the training process. Puppy development is crucial for puppies between the ages of 8weeks to 5months old. This is where we focus on Puppy development training involving teaching basic obedience commands such as sit, come, down, engagement, socializing, exposure, desensitizing, confidence building, body awareness & relationship building. Additionally, it involves teaching puppies basic manners such as not jumping up on people, not nipping or biting, and proper potty training. Puppy brains are not fully developed yet at this stage, so asking for anything more would be like putting a first grader in college. If the puppy is set up for success during this period until they reach 5 months, all the other training will be a piece of cake.
Service dog training is the process of teaching a dog to perform tasks that help people with disabilities in their day-to-day lives. This includes tasks such as retrieving items, opening doors, providing balance support, alerting to sounds, and calming behaviors. Service dogs must be trained to a high level of obedience and must be able to respond in a variety of settings.”

The AKC CGC is an acronym for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen program. This is a program designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The program is open to all dogs, regardless of breed or mix. The CGC tests 10 basic skills such as sitting politely for petting, walking on a loose leash, and coming when called. Dogs who pass the test receive a certificate from the AKC and are recognized as Canine Good Citizens.
Socializing in dog training is the process of exposing a dog to different people, animals, environments, and experiences in a positive and safe way. This helps the dog to become comfortable in a variety of situations and is an important part of creating a well-rounded and balanced dog. Socialization helps a dog to learn appropriate behaviors and how to interact with other animals and people in a positive manner. It also helps to build trust and confidence, as well as reduce stress and anxiety. Socialization should begin as early as possible, preferably at 8 weeks of age.
Behavior modification training in dogs is a form of dog training that focuses on changing and improving a dog’s behavior by altering the way the dog perceives a certain situation or circumstance. It involves identifying the triggers for a dog’s unwanted behaviors such as aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, & fear, then providing positive reinforcement when the desired behavior is displayed. Behavior modification training can help dogs learn new behaviors, unlearn old behaviors, and become more socially acceptable.
